Mainstreaming gender into the budget

FUNDAR has achieved significant authority in this field, both and the national and international level; therefore the program has expanded beyond the initial goals. During 2004, in collaboration CSO’s and government programs, FUNDAR carried out three workshops on gender-sensitive budgets with health and treasury officials in the states of Querétaro, Morelos and Chiapas. In the month of May, the second part of a guide on gender-sensitive budget formulation for the health sector was published and distributed among health officials.
