FUNDAR'S ADDRESS CHANGES

Starting January 2008, Fundar operates from its new office located in Coyoacan. We have our own facilities in an effort to guarantee sustainability and to continue the work on strengthening democracy in Mexico.

This achievement was reached thanks to the Award for Creative and Effective Organizations granted to Fundar in 2006 by the Mac Arthur Foundation, as well as to the support of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Ford Foundation, the Open Society Institute Foundation, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the Swiss Embassy and the Tinker Foundation.

Fundar reaches this important step thanks to the results obtained throughout the eight years of its existence, due to the commitment of its team and thanks to the collaborative efforts with organizations and actors of Mexican civil society. We thank the support of the former foundations and of the organizations and people who have accompanied Fundar's work since its start and who have joined throughout the years. Walking hand in hand with other communities, organizations and researchers of Mexican and international civil society, through different efforts, has lead us to achieve relevant changes in democratic development.   Likewise, we thank the patience of our counterparties while collaborating with the same intensity during the weeks of January in which our organization worked virtually. Such situation was due mainly to the fact that during the construction works for remodeling the house, a structural flaw was found, thereby delaying the conclusion.
